Day 1 | Arrive in Northern Norway

Arrive in Norway's lively city of Tromsø and transfer to your hotel where you will stay for the next three nights. During the evening, head out by custom built 4X4 van with your guide - a professional photographer - to search for the northern lights. Help is provided with your own camera settings, plus you can download your guide's photos from the evening.

Day 2 | Snowshoe Hike & Northern Lights Cruise

Discover Tromsøya on a guided snowshoe hike through stunning Arctic landscapes, with plenty of photo opportunities. Pause for hot drinks and lefse, a tasty local treat. In the afternoon, explore Polaria, Tromsø’s fascinating Arctic-themed museum. As evening falls, set sail from Tromsø harbour on a scenic boat trip, enjoying a delicious local dinner onboard. Keep watch for the magical northern lights dancing above—an unforgettable end to your day of adventure.

Day 3 | Silent Whale Watching

Today, embark on a breathtaking silent cruise aboard the eco-friendly Brim Explorer catamaran, gliding through icy Arctic waters in search of majestic orcas and humpback whales. Arrive just in time to experience the magical glow of polar daylight across the sea. As you journey to the whale-watching area, soak in panoramic views of Tromsø’s dramatic fjords and frozen landscapes from the comfort of the hybrid-electric boat—an unforgettable way to witness nature at its most awe-inspiring.

Day 4 | Fjellheisen Cable Car & Journey to Vengsøy

Start your day exploring Tromsø at your own pace before riding the Fjellheisen cable car to breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding fjords. At the top, savor a delicious local meal at the renowned Fjellstua restaurant or enjoy a lighter bite from the café while soaking in the stunning scenery. In the afternoon, transfer to Bellvik and take a scenic ferry to the tranquil island of Vengsøya. Settle into the charming Vengsøya Rorbuer sea lodge for a peaceful two-night stay.

Day 5 | Peace and Nature on Vengsøy

Spend a serene winter day at Vengsøy Rorbuer, surrounded by snow-dusted mountains and icy fjords. Wake up to crisp Arctic air and enjoy a warm coffee on your private terrace, watching the soft winter light reflect off the frozen landscape. Take a peaceful stroll along the snow-covered shoreline or simply relax in the cozy lodge. For adventure, book a guided hike with one of the owners, exploring winter trails while learning about the island’s nature. End the day under a starry sky, watching for the northern lights.

Day 6 | Departure Day

Enjoy a final breakfast in your rorbu cottage before taking the short ferry crossing over to the mainland. You will be met at the quayside for your transfer to Tromsø Airport for your flight home.

  • Northern lights search by custom-built 4X4 minivan including local guide, home-made snacks, hot drinks and use of pro tripods and headlamps. Professional photos from the tour are available to download after the tour. Duration 5½ - 9 hours
  • Snowshoe hike on Tromsøya island with pick-up and drop-off in the Tromsø centre. Includes local guide, hot drinks and a sweet snack. Duration 2 hours
  • Northern lights scenic dinner cruise onboard a hybrid-electric vessel including local guide and seasonal 3-course dinner. Duration 3-4 hours
  • Silent whale-watching safari onboard a hybrid-electric vessel including local guide, a hearty lentil soup, sweet pastry and hot drink. Duration approx. 8-9 hours
    NB! The silent whale watching operates from 1 November to 25 January when the whales are expected to be feeding in the herring-rich fjords. After this date, an Arctic scenery fjord safari is included.
