Experience a stay at Sweden’s first floating hotel, Salt & Sill, situated in Bohuslän, before driving south along West Sweden’s coastal route, into Skåne, known as the sunshine province. Find golden beaches, relaxed green countryside rich with small farms, and a glorious ecological farm hotel, tucked away in nature but within a cycle ride or short drive from the beach and Skåne’s historical towns which pepper the coastline.

Day 1 | Arrive in Sweden and Kládesholmen

Arrive at Gothenburg Airport by air from the UK. Collect your hire car from the airport and head northwest towards the beautiful Bohuslän Coast and the island of Klädesholmen. Here you will find Sweden’s first floating hotel, Salt & Sill, your home for the next six nights.

Skåne in the south of Sweden

Day 7 | Drive to Vellinge in Skåne

Time to leave the peace and tranquillity of Klädesholmen and head south towards Skåne, Sweden’s sunshine coast. Skåne is well known for its food scene, with a very  good collection of culinary artisans offering a range of experiences from simple cafes with home-baked bread and cakes, restaurants specialising in locally sourced fish and meat, to vineyards offering wine tours and tastings. Your hotel is a gorgeous manor house and ecology farm, where organic food and nature-based emersion go hand-in-hand.

Day 8 | Discovering Ystad's Coastal Charm

Immerse yourself in the picturesque coastal town of Ystad. Stroll through the medieval center, browse handicraft shops, and soak up the ambiance. Consider taking a guided Wallander tour and enjoy a relaxing picnic on the beach.

Day 10 | Coastal Relaxation and Organic Delights

Indulge in a day of relaxation and leisure at your hotel. Explore the wonderful organic farm shop and café within the grounds, savoring the farm-to-table delights. Enjoy lazy days "on the ranch," embracing the tranquility of your surroundings.

Day 12 | Farewell to Skåne's Coastal Bliss

Bid farewell to Skåne's coastal paradise. Drive to Malmö and explore the architectural landmark - The Turning Torso building - located in Western Harbour, the completely carbon neutral quarter which overlooks the Öresund Bridge which connects Sweden to Denmark and the city of Copenhagen. Take the train across the bridge to wonderful Copenhagen. Your character hotel is right on the waterfront, close to Amalienborg Palace and colourful Nyhavn, with its boats, pavement cafes and restaurants.

Day 13 | Explore Copenhagen

Enjoy a full day exploring what this thriving city has to offer. The city's good looks are also intrinsically linked to the famed Danish flair for design, with its industrial-chic bars, striking Black Diamond Library, Opera House and Design museum, and, of course, beautiful Tivoli Gardens -  all waiting to be explored. To appease your appetite are a wide variety of cafes and restaurants to choose between, whether you're looking for gourmet food or strolling around the central food market.

Day 14 | Homeward bound

Enjoy a lazy breakfast at your hotel, with time to explore further, before taking the airport train to Copenhagen Airport for your return flight home.
