Day 1 | Arrive in Tromsø

Arrive in northern Norway's Arctic capital, Tromsø, the historical starting point for polar expeditions for hundreds of years. Surrounded by epic fjords and craggy peaks that remain snow capped for much of the year, Tromsø sits on the eastern edge of Tromsøya, and is linked to the mainland by a gracefully arched bridge. Perhaps hop aboard the city's cable car, offering expansive views of the bustling metropolis. Take some time to wander around the city in the evening. Why not opt to dine at Mathallen, one of the best restaurants in the city. The kitchen here is run by sought-after chef, Gunnar Jensen who works with seasonal arctic ingredients.
