Spend nights snuggled up in your cosy treehouse searching for the northern lights and enjoy days taking part in exhilarating excursions through the glittering wilderness. Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrive in Finnish Lapland
On arrival transfer to the fabulous Arctic Treehouse Hotel and check-in for a four-night stay. Once you’ve settled in, head out on a guided snowshoe hike in the afternoon. Later enjoy dinner in the restaurant and keep a watchful eye for the northern lights from the comfort of your very own treehouse.
Day 2 | Reindeer Safari & Ice Fishing
This morning you will enjoy a reindeer safari to an ice fishing lake. Gain an insight to how life in Lapland used to be as you travel through the forest in a traditional reindeer sleigh to a frozen lake. Your guide will teach you how to drill a hole in the ice and prepare the fishing rod and baits so you can try to catch a fish. A small Lappish barbeque with sausages will be prepared on a open fire before heading back to the reindeer farm.
Day 3 | Husky Sled Ride
Enjoy a morning at leisure. In the afternoon learn that huskies are born to run. You will be collected and transferred to a husky farm to meet your very own team of sled dogs and learn from an expert guide how to steer your team of dogs through the snowy wilderness. You’ll get to spend some time with the dogs too.
Day 4 | Snowmobile Excursion
Embark on a full-day snowmobile excursion today. Travel lesser-used trails that lead to stunning natural sights which can't be reached during shorter trips. Stop for lunch where your guide will prepare a Lappish lunch by an open fire. Depending on conditions you may have the chance to try driving on pure, untouched, powder snow. Return in the afternoon and enjoy some leisure time before your final night in Lapland’s capital.
Day 5 | Departure Day
Bid farewell to Finnish Lapland and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
