Stay in the pretty capital, Torshavn and wander along cobbled streets, admire grass-roofed cottages, and dine at fantastic harbourside restaurants. Relax and enjoy the capital or join guided day trips to discover the fantastic history, rich culture, and spectacular scenery of the islands.


Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrive in the Faroe Islands

Arrive in the Faroe Islands and transfer to Tórshavn. Spend time exploring the charming capital with its many handicraft shops and quaint cafes. Take a stroll to the harbourside, visit the Nordic House - the most important cultural institution in the Faroes - and explore the old town with its many turf-roofed houses. Later enjoy a dining experience in a local home.

Day 2 | Optional Excursion

Today enjoy time in the capital or opt to join a guided day trip. Minibus tours travel to the northern islands, arguably the most picturesque of the 18 islands. Visit Klaksvík, and explore the island of Kunoy with the beautiful view of the island of Kalsoy before reaching the the southern part of Eysturoy.

Day 4 | Optional Excursion

Today, perhaps join a morning cruise along the coastline of one of the Farose’ smallest islands, Nólsoy. Keep a lookout for birdlife, seals and whales gliding through the deep blue waters. Return to Tórshavn for lunch. Speak to us about eating at a traditional Faroese fish buffet in the capital (available June, July & August).

Day 3 | Optional Excursion

Why not visit Mykines today? The westernmost island of the Faroes is well known for its rich birdlife and spectacularly distinctive scenery. Gaze at incredible views of the unspoiled natural surroundings whilst discovering the Mykines-islet. Catch a glimpse into the lives of the gannets and puffins that breed on Mykinesholm, before venturing to see the lighthouse on the western tip. Stop for a cooling drink at one of the charming cafes in the village, before returning to Torshavn.

Day 5 | Departure Day

Bid farewell to the Faroe Islands and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Suduroy

Travel two hours from the capital by ferry to reach the southernmost island where the scenery reigns supreme. Take to the hills and hike Hvannhagi, a beautiful valley surrounded by steep mountains.
