Holiday Idea
Gloriously remote, yet easy to reach, this short summer holiday in the Faroe Islands is perfect for first-time visitors seeking a unique city break. Stay in the pretty capital, Torshavn and wander along cobbled streets, admire grass-roofed cottages, and dine at fantastic harbourside restaurants. Relax and enjoy the capital or join guided day trips to discover the fantastic history, rich culture, and spectacular scenery of the islands.
Itinerary
Excursions from Torshavn
Suduroy
Travel two hours from the capital by ferry to reach the southernmost island where the scenery reigns supreme. Take to the hills and hike Hvannhagi, a beautiful valley surrounded by steep mountains.
Northern Islands
Visit five islands in the North. See the fishing capital of the Faroe Islands, Klaksvík, the island of Kunoy with the beautiful view of the island of Kalsoy and the southern part of Eysturoy.
Puffin Island
Sail alongside majestic cliffs to the westernmost island of Mykines. See impressive gannets that only breed on Mykinesholm and the charming puffins with their colourful beaks.
Photography Tours
With boundless opportunities to capture the archipelago, join an experienced photographer who will advise on the ideal composition to snap the spectacular sights.
Witness from the water
Paddle across the watery depths of the Atlantic on kayaking excursions, where hulking cliffs, spell-binding sea stacks and thundering caves can be explored from a new perspective.
Guided Hikes
From intrepid trails to leisurely routes, chose from a selection of guided hikes across the island's vast landscape where grassy banks have been frozen in time and molded by the changing seasons.
